Dato’
Jaffar Indot has led an illustrious career in the corporate sector
from the time he joined Shell in 1956 till his retirement in 1989.
His 33 years of active service included extensive assignments in
Japan and the United Kingdom.
As a member of Shell’s top management team, Dato’ Jaffar
worked in several capacities in International Oil Trading , Business
Development and Public Affairs. Between 1980 - 1983 he served as
Executive Director and Director of Public Affairs for Shell Companies
in Malaysia.
Dato’ Jaffar leads an active professional life and is currently
serving on the executive boards of several public listed companies.
He is the Independent Non Executive Director & Chairman of the
Audit Committee in Shell Refining Company (FOM) Bhd and FSBM Holdings
Berhad, the Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman, Risk
Management Committee of M3nergy (Malaysia) Berhad and Melewar Industrial
Group Berhad and the Independent Non-Executive Director and member
of the Audit Committee of CYGAL Berhad and Pan Pacific Asis Berhad.
He is also the Chairman of InOilCO Safety Consultant Sdn Bhd and
Executive Chairman of Jaya Sarana Engineering Group, Director of
Sarana Mori Sdn Bhd, Executive Chairman of M & F Sdn Bhd and
an Independent Non Executive Director Proton Commerce Sdn Bhd.
Apart from these he serves on the Rolls Royce South East Asia Advisory
Board.
His extra-professional activities include the following: he is
the President Federation of Family Planning Associations, Malaysia,
Trustee of the Malaysian Aids Foundation, Member of Board of Governors,
Yayasan PROTON (PROTON Foundation), Chairman, Victoria Institution
Old Boys' Association Foundation Member, Institute of Strategic
and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia, Member, Havard Business
School Alumni Club of Malaysia , Life Member, Havard Club of Malaysia
and Chairman, Malaysian Dutch Business Council
For his services to the nation and to industry in general, he was
conferred the "Bintang Setia Mahkota Selangor" (S.M.S.)
by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor Darul Ehsan in 1985
and the "Darjah Setia Negeri Sembilan" (D.S.N.S.) by His
Royal Highness the Yang Di Pertuan Besar, Negeri Sembilan Darul
Khusus in 1986.

Dorai Sinna holds a B.Sc. in
Biochemistry from University Of Malaya, and a M.Sc. from the Loughborough
University of Technology in Medicinal Chemistry. Further to these,
he holds a series of professional qualifications: Associate Chartered
Insurance Institute ( ACII, UK) and Associate Malaysian Insurance
Institute (AMII, Malaysia); Certified Quality Auditor, (CQA, American
Society for Quality, US); Certified Lead Auditor, (International
Register of Certificated Auditors, UK); Certified Commercial Security
Professional from International Federation of Protection Officers
(US) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Security Management (SITO, UK).
He is a member of several International Professional
Bodies and some of which are: Associate of Malaysian Institute of
Management; Associate of Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management;
Associate of American Society for Quality; Associate of Institute
for Quality Malaysia. He is a council member of the Malaysian Register
of Certified Auditors (MRCA). He is also a member of SEPG based
in the US.
He started his professional life in academia before
joining a large consultancy in its Change Management practice. He
then moved on to set up INSEMA, a consulting firm focused on performance
improvement in general. Over the years, it grew steadily to focus
on Quality and quality initiatives and pathways.

quality certification and management programs in Malaysia and beyond.
Dorai believes in sharing. His passion to improve
the world through knowledge diffusion has resulted in the publication
of several booklets and guides which he freely distributes to his

Dorai’s vast experience has enabled him to develop
expertise in the following areas: CMM®, CMMISM, ISO 9000, ISO
17025, ISO 17799, ISO 16949, ISO 14000, QS9000, OHSAS 18000, HACCP,
TQM, QIT, BPR and Six Sigma.
