workforce skills, said Accenture (human performance service line)
managing partner Peter Cheese said.

Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) accreditation as a
must-have for local small- and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) that
are developing information and communications technologies (1CT).

Corp is trying to sharpen the competitiveness of MSC software firms
via CMMI certification. This certification helped open many doors
for them, especially smaller companies, and convinced European and
US customers to take a calculated risk on them.
LOCAL software
companies need to boost their software engineering capabilities
to make them more competitive and able to gain access into international
markets. Multimedia Development Corporation's (MDC) vice president,
capacity development division Ng Wan Peng said this can be done
through a quality certification and assessment such as the Software
Engineering Institute (SEI) capability maturity model integration
(CMMI) certification.
